Quinn didn’t rush to the door when she heard the knock, she needed to get herself presentable and ready herself for company. Seeing Jayden always wore on her emotionally and with her cup of coffee forgotten on the counter, Quinn fixed the few flowers she still had in her hair and straightened the white Summer dress she still wore. The Switch barely got out a ‘hey’ before she was wrapped in his arms, slightly wincing at the pressure on her back. “It’s okay,” she replied, forcing a smile when she was finally released. “I hope you’re hungry.” Quinn closed the door behind Jayden and led the way to the dining table and taking the seat opposite him. “I told you I was okay. All in one piece.”
Jayden took note of the wince as he let her go then followed Quinn to the table with a warm smile. ” I’m a little hungry.” He admitted before pulling Quinn’s chair out for her then going to his own. “You always say you’re okay.” He replied looking in her eyes. He knew Quinn wasn’t the type to just admit she was hurt, especially not to him after he hurt her. He wanted to ask Quinn what happened, but he knew she probably didn’t want to talk about it. The last time they talked she just wanted to be alone, so that told him to not push about it. “Thanks.” He said, keeping his eyes on her but it wasn’t just a thanks for dinner, it was a thanks for seeing him, and letting him see that she was visibly okay.
Quinn set her phone down and took a deep breath. She had a feeling Jayden was going to agree before she even sent the text and already started on dinner. A simple pasta that was going to be topped with chicken and Alfredo. The blonde debated all day if she was going to invite him over, but given how she left things the last time they talked, she felt she owed him at least the chance to see for himself that she was okay. The food was a distraction and only provided because drinks weren’t allowed on campus. Dinner was done before Jayden arrived and Quinn sipped on her coffee as she waited.
Jayden put his phone down, about to rush out of his room before stopping himself. He wanted to see Quinn and make sure she was okay, but he didn’t need to sprint down five flights of stairs. After pulling himself together, he quickly fixed his hair and pulled on his shoes before leaving in simple jeans and t-shirt. Once he got to Quinn’s door, he calmly knocked and waited for the answer. As he waited he started nervously bouncing on the balls of his feet, just wanting the door to open faster. When the door opened and he saw Quinn, he quickly stepped forward and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into a hug. After a moment he realized that probably wasn’t the right move. “Sorry.” He said softly, slowly letting her out of his hold. “I’m just glad you’re all in one piece.”
I’m not sure we’ve officially met, I’m Desdemona Delacroix, the new submission Roles teacher.
I’m Jayden Motta, the old dominant student that’s obsessed with his dog and Game of Thrones.
